This place was hopping on a Thursday evening. Their chips are crispy and fresh (and dangerous because they are so good you will want to eat more and more). The chicken chimi, rice and beans were delicious and filling. The desserts looks great, but I was stuffed. I've been here several times and it's consistently great!

Villa Maya is the best Mexican food around. Better food and personalized customer service than corporate Uncle Julios, Guapos or any other rinse and repeat. Mario is just one of many kind and attentive workers, representative of this establishment. We come back for the consistency, every time. Quality!

The restaurant is located next to Safeway in the center of a strip mall. No wait to be seated even though practically the whole restaurant was full on Father's Day. The service was prompt, efficient, and professional. Carly, our server, was superb. We ordered beef tacos and a bean burrito platter as well as a corn tamal and a nonalcoholic passionfruit beverage. Everything was hot and fresh and a great portion. The taco shells were a bit greasy and the passionfruit beverage was too sweet I had to water it down. The corn tamal came with a huge side of sour cream. The complimentary chips were good but the salsa was watery and piping hot, a combination I'm not used to. The ambiance was pleasant with interesting decor and a covered patio.

This is the best Tex- mex food in the area. You get large portions for what I would call just slightly above average prices. I recently visited for lunch. I had the guacamole, ceviche and fish stew. The ceviche was a very large portion and would comprise an entree for most although I could only identify fish in the ceviche, no calamari or shrimp. The guacamole was good but I asked for medium spicy and it was mild. The fish stew was the best of the dishes I ate. Very tasty and full of shrimp, mussels and calamari. I have been here many times before and have had the fajitas and standard combination dishes. They are all good examples served hot and freshly prepared

Finally! A Mexican restaurant that I really enjoyed! Coming in on cinco de mayo I expected the worst but got the best. The service was average but on this day I'll give a pass. The food was great with me pushing to finish the burrito. Other places I've finished out and still ready to eat more but this was one worthy of being an entree. The sides that came with it were great and just what it needed. Generous amount of salsa, sour cream and guacamole to go along with the burrito. The mariachi band kept everybody vibing with the day. Great time with some great food.

Villa Maya is a family favorite! I have been going for years and always enjoy myself. Last time, I got the salmon relleno. It could have used a bit more crab meat, but was still really good. The mashed potatoes were well seasoned, but the vegetables could've used a bit more. I have also had the seafood enchilada in the past and that's still a favorite. Margaritas as well :)

Wow! I was very surprised by Villa Maya. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday night. We decided to sit in the bar to enjoy happy hour. $6 house margaritas...in this economy...STEAL! I'd been to this shopping center many times but never gave Villa Maya a try. We started with the queso. It was creamy, hot, and great to snack on with some chips while catching up and telling stories. My friend had the steak quesadilla and I had the Villa Steak. Wow! My steak was cooked perfectly and the portion was huge. I had plenty of leftovers to take home. I'll definitely be returning again in the future.

We're always craving some solid tex! David and I decided to switch up our usual Uncle Julio's trip to check out Villa Maya. We had been eyeing it ever since we stopped by Ema Rossi which is in the same shopping center. First off, their menu is HUGE! You will not be out of options coming here. It made it pretty hard to decide what to get! We ended up going with the crab quesadilla for appetizer, I got the seafood enchiladas and David got the steak fajitas. Crab quesadilla: Not bad, first bite in I got a lot of crab flavor. Almost tasted like a crab bisque! Wouldn't say there was a TON of crab but it was decent. Seafood Enchiladas: The shrimp were huge, would have been nice if it was cut up. Also good amount of scallop. I thought the enchiladas were a little cheesy for my liking, either that or it needed more protein lol. Enjoyed my rice and bean sides as usual. Steak fajitas: I was STUFFED from my entree but had a bite of David's steak. Thought the steak was SUPER juicy and flavorful, I said it was probably the best piece of steak I'd had from a fajita platter and David seemed surprised (guess he didn't agree!). Was very tender and good in my opinion from the bite I had! Overall, great experience and would definitely come back again when we're feeling tex mex!
